answer to AM: on prayer


Hiii. You're right teach... wishing in prayers is basically asking God to break the fundamental laws of the universe.
What do we have but prayer when all science and reason is unable to break the fundamental laws of universe:
-healing from cancer
- getting out of an addiction
- getting out of depression
- making a relationship between two naturally impatient, clashing personalities work
- having your bad personality and genes changed into something manageable, workable, and good
- appealing for forgiveness and redemption from all bad deeds and sins
- not revenging; or not getting revenge
- being able to bless others who violated you; or be blessed by those you’ve hurt or violated
- BEING ABLE TO FORGIVE THAN TO RETALIATE OR LIVE IN RESENTMENT
Prayers break the fundamental laws of the universe
How explainable by logic and science it is when
-       Suddenly, a tumor is gone – an answered prayer
-       People are healed of any addiction or depression or anxiety or any form or mental-emotional-health problem  -- an answered prayer
-       When two impatient people with clashing personalities have finally worked their relationship out and have a happy relationship together, after 22 long years of clashing, coldness and hatred for one another – an answered prayer
-       Being able to change your bad genes (perhaps from being an angry person walking in egg shells into someone who’s no longer far from that), after years – an answered prayer
-       Being able to forgive and live free from bitterness and resentment, especially if it comes from trauma – an answered prayer
Yeah, prayers break the fundamental laws of universe
-       When you get sick and medicine can cure it, BUT prayer works you a way out.
-       When opposition to another individual esp in marriage calls for either more of getting even or of parting ways, BUT you were able to forgive each other, in peace and not in getting even, to rebuild the relationship into something new and beautiful.* - prayer works you a way out
-       When the nature of being before is not your nature today* - prayer works you a way out
-       When your trauma is not a driving force to get even, retaliate, or to cower in fear or in depression or anything, BUT a driving force to live and bless.. it makes you happy and thankful – prayer works you a way out.
You’re right, prayer is asking God to break the fundamental laws of universe.
But it is not just wishful. To some, yes it is. But if you’ve come to the point of no other option – no science or human knowledge can make your “wishes” possible, it will be more than wishful. It will be anchored in trust and faith – because there is no other way. The soft whisper of “wish” becomes a battle cry, a desperate plea of trust…Eg. “Either I die of cancer (because there is no cure..it is the way to go) – OR YOU GRANT ME HEALING, GOD.”
And if God won’t break the fundamental laws of the universe on our behalf, how will we believe in Him? How will we believe that He is real and alive and hands-on?
So prayer (not wishful, but that desperate cry) is asking God to break the fundamental laws of the universe.
And we will see more examples in history and in our day.
But sometimes too, prayer is much more than asking God to break the fundamental laws of the universe.

So this is just me with a passing thought, a realization. I am typing reel-time before it fades away, like a fog.

PART 2:

The other aspect of prayer is when God did NOT break the fundamental laws o the universe

A remember a mentor we had before, 

She shares to us an experience she had. 8 months in the hospital with his sick, deteriorating father. Day in and day out he'd ask God to heal her father and make him live longer.

After 8 months of praying, prayer not answered, the law of death not broken - her dad died.

Grived, she turned to the Lord and asked WHY GET HIM FROM ME?

But more than getting the life of her dear father back, she sensed the Lord telling her, "I know you'll miss your father... but you need Me more than you need your earthly father. I am your Heavenly Father, come."

Prayer... prayer is breaking the fundamental law of the universe which says that God is distant/may not be true/ does not care.

It's knowing that God is real. It's when all logic and reason and rationalizations no longer operate to be sure, but you know it's real and it's the truth and you're assured by it. Just assured. Just amazed.

It's when prayer granted you the amazement of a child over a good food, a beautiful flower, or the magnificent moon. There is no rationalizing, there is no thinking if it's logical to appreciate those things or if it's right to be happy. You just experience them to be. And you are just amazed, in awe. Because the experience is what matters. It's like being lost in an ethereal sense of happiness - a glimpse of what life should be and would, hopefully be, someday.

And that's also prayer -- yes, breaking the fundamental law of the universe that humans cannot know God -- because in prayer, in just a snap, you can hear/feel/sense God's will -- and know Him.

  Gabi-Gabi plant or Caladium (that found its way in our roofed Garden!)               On Thursday late night, I found a new plant in our garden sitting in one of our old pots, sharing space with the big plant in it. #Throwback: my joy-filled struggles as a SPED practicumer

Guess who this special person in my life is :)  (you'll soon find out!) Teaching the SpEd way had been a whole new world to me. Wait, before I proceed to the meat of my story about this, let me first give you an appetizer to begin with. I have been a schoolteacher for four years in the secondary level right after I graduated college. In my first two years of teaching, I handled high-school students in the progressive set-up—meaning, some of them are high-functioning special needs students in the mainstream program. That was my very first exposure to special needs learners and Special Education. My next 2 years of teaching experience was spent in an exclusive school for boys where my executive skills (time management, classroom management, and the like) were trained and tested.
