2020 is All Weakness, All Strength

Imahe
2020 is an "all-weakness" year. Everyone has been shocked and overthrown by all of the unexpected stuff no one has imagined: The job people is counting on suddenly closes; strong, dependable people died; the well-organized and extremely careful person contracts the Covid-19 virus and gets seriously ill ; the economy seem to be collapsing; various calamity and tragedies strike; the government shows more evidence of its incompetence; or wounds show to be unhealed when you thought you've been healed but shown otherwise - " Sometimes the heart needs to heal enough from the trauma before engaging...  Be well and honor your heart's process... Holy Spirit guide you but never lose sight of our Father's love through the process... " -Tita Virmi YET each of us perseveres to survive amidst the pandemic in the midst of all forms of human and personal weaknesses revealed before us in a whole new array it its reality and entirety. Overwhelming . So...

Remembering THE Miraculous: Divine Appointments (1)

Imahe
Self, you MUST REMEMBER.               Last August 31 as God gave me the chance to enjoy a loving bonding with my "tita-mommy", that holiday, I decided it's about time to buy a hardcopy of "The Shack" because I can't make progress with the ebook (DM/PM me if you want a copy, amazing book).  Today's testament of God's grace and mercy upon me                              At NBS, I can't find the book on the shelves so I asked one of the staffs for assistance. Nonetheless, I'm feeling guilty buying a hardcopy especially that I have an ebook, and I keep it in heart to be very careful of my spendings most especially these days. The staff went back to me with the book. I said thank you. I said I'm feeling quite guilty of buying the book and questioned myself if it's really necessary to spend buying the book hehe. Then she jokingly asked me if I consider buying used boo...

Gabi-gabi plant | Caladium | Heart of Christ

Imahe
Gabi-Gabi plant or Caladium (that found its way in our roofed Garden!)               On Thursday late night, I found a new plant in our garden sitting in one of our old pots, sharing space with the big plant in it. I usually just see this plant on display in malls as a plastic replica AND NOW here it is, alive and thriving right in our garden! (I have never seen one real, alive plant of this sort in our neighborhood as well ever). Where did this adorable plant come from? Did the seeds fly from the air, reached our roofed garden then fell on that pot? Did pollination cause this plant to literally reach our soil? Nah never mind because what is important is oh I found MY BABY! Such much surprise!               However, due to the (I find) overwhelming nature of my job - and yes, it is overwhelming - and to my major triggers pulled active that I have been dealing with, I rarely remember the delight and excite...

TRIUMPHANT

Was able to do some lettering and cutting 😍 Which was timely for what I was about to realize We can celebrate our weaknesses too. *      Early this morning, I transferred the choco powder from the pack to the empty container by the cupboard where it is placed. I felt something wrong, but I continued anyway. So not all of the choco powder was transferred (lack of space).Quite confused,I just made my own choco drink from the remaining powder in the pack and moved on.        A few minutes later, my mom was so amused at how I managed to have everything fit in that small container. She showed me the container for the choco powder which was in the plate rack(my father washed it and had to dry it there).Woops.She asked me then,"anak, bakit ba lagi kang kalat?"That's when it hit me. I realized OO NGA BAKIT NGA BA AKO LAGING KALAT?@@ Why am I not efficient? not a fast-learner? keep making mistakes? And in line of my past rumination for the week *d...

Bolak Sonday the Warrior Princess

Sketch circa 2011. One of my two fictional alter egos. BOLAK SONDAY | PAILALAM RI BOLAK (loveliest of flowers) from the Subanon epic "Guman of the Dumalinao" * "At once captured the maiden of Dliyag'n by seven men of Tomanong. The maiden of Dliyag'n quickly turned around holding her knife; neatly slashing all the men around where she stood, she rushed to fight. Upon her came kampilans.  Days and nights passed:  for a whole month a terrible battle continued, a battle was going on. Faded was the beauty of the maiden of maidens for bathed in blood she was. During one hot noon day she heard someone talking: "Oh what a brave maiden, even in battle she stands" ~ The gentleman replied: "Now oh maiden of maidens to the palace please go, even if I may not do well in your place I'll stand." The maiden said: "If in my stead you stand it must be a relative are you a kinsman?...
